Zada Marie Carter Milholen, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 7:10 AM.Services: Pioneer Dr. Baptist Church in Irving Texas viewing January 26th 5-7PM funeral January 27th. 10 AM burial following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Zada was born in Friona, TX, October 29,1931 to Dewey Carl and Martha Alvin Carter. Zada’s mom raised 4 daughters by herself,(Zada being the youngest), while working 2 and 3 jobs at a time. Her mom taught the girls the love of Christ and sent them to church every Sunday. She played basketball through her school years. Zada got married right after graduation from high school to Kenneth Heady and they both worked the rest of their lives. She started out as a roller skating carhop, a meat butcher and a cashier among many other jobs. She started bowling and playing 42 during her young life and carried those activities throughout her life. Zada and Ken moved to Irving in the summer of 1967 Carl’s senior year and Randy’s 1st grade year. She immediately went to work at Krogers and worked there for 18 years. Ken died while Randy was in school and she married Tony. When Zada retired from Krogers she couldn’t just stay home so she went to work at the Irving Police Dept., as a volunteer, at the main desk. She worked there for 17 years. She was a long time member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Irving, Tx., serving the Lord while enjoying friends and family. She relived her life through the lives of her grandchildren’s eyes sharing all their adventures. She left us with memories that will help fill the void created in our hearts by her passing. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, niece, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She is preceded in death by: Parents Dewey and Martha Carter, Husbands: Kenneth Heady and Tony Milholen, one grand child and three sisters. She is survived by sons: Carl wife Judy Heady, Randy wife Yvonne Heady, grandchildren Kevin wife Stephanie Heady, Chance wife Stephanie Heady, Michael and Courtney Heady, great-grandchildren Kameron wife Rainey Heady, Karson wife Alex Heady, Christian, Reed and Chloe Heady, Hayden and Brady Heady great- great grand children Hunter and Duke Heady.
