Cheryl Lynne Schuerg, 63, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021. She was born December 31, 1957 in Junction City, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be held at Grapevine Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park, 411 Ball St, Grapevine TX 76051 on Saturday, April 3rd from 1:00 to 5:00pm. Her parents are Harvey (Deceased) Louise Pointdexter. They were in the Army at Fort Riley, Kansas and she turned out to be an Army brat. She graduated from High School in Seguin, Tx in May of 1977. Cheryl married her high school sweetheart, Robert Schuerg on April 22, 1978. They had two children, Dana Michelle Schuerg and Jesse Aaron Schuerg. Cheryl has three grandchildren, Christian Speck, Jordan Speck and Samantha Schuerg. Cheryl was diagnosed with cancer on December 2018 with an expectancy to live 6 months but fought very hard till January 2021. Survivors: Spouse, Douglas Martin; mother, Louise Pointdexter; children, Dana Michelle Schuerg Backus and husband, Gary and Jesse Aaron Schuerg and fiancée, Sheena; sisters, Cherri lee Ramirez and Dee Ann Henson and husband, Michael; nieces and nephews and many loving family and friends. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not be faint. Isiah 40:31

Thomas William Lowman Sr., 83, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021. Graveside Service: 9:15am Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Mr. Lowman desired to write his own obituary before his passing, and it is presented to and published in his own words. Thomas William Lowman Sr was born May 24, 1937 in Lost Creek West Virginia to James A and Mary Virginia Lowman, both of which are deceased. Thomas is preceded in death also by two sisters, Barbara Hevener and Regina Miles Hunkin, two brothers John Wesley Lowman and Harold Robert Lowman, one son Thomas William Lowman Jr., and his first wife Dorothy Smith Lowman. Thomas graduated from Weston High School, West Virginia and then Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina in 1996. Mr. Lowman retired from the United States Air Force on September 1, 1975; after retirement he worked in various jobs to include security and law enforcement, grocery store clerk, common laborer, motel desk clerk and telemarketing sales reprehensive, Mr. Lowman is also a member of the First Baptist Church of Ludowici, Georgia. Thomas was also active in various Veterans Service Organizations. Thomas was married to his second wife Victoria Kirby, on 12 December 2004 whom he says “May be seeing me.” Beatrice Pina Reyes Torres, 56, went to be with her parents on February 13th, 2021. She was born on February 28th, 1964 to Oscar Luna and Mary Helen Reyes in Del Rio Tx. During her childhood she lived in Brady Tx. She is survived by her partner, Jim Walter Fisher; her children, Tara Betty Marie Fisher, Christina Maria Torres, J.R. Torres and her 8 grandchildren. Her siblings are Omega Reyes, Maricela Reyes, and Johnny Reyes along with many cousins. Beatrice was a kind soul to those who meet and knew her. She loved animals and she took care of stray animals that she encountered. She worked for Liberty Tax Services for six years. She was be loved by many; she will be greatly missed. Beatrice will be laid to rest with her parents and with the Lord. Thanks to the cousin’s and everyone who all helped during this time of need. Thank you all who kept us in your prayers. |
