William (Bill) Collins, age 66, of Haslet, a loving husband, father and brother passed away August 23, 2019 following an eight-month battle with cancer. William Harland Collins was born March 15, 1953 in Braham Minnesota to Carl and Miriam Collins, the fourth of seven children. He spent his childhood years in Massachusetts. The family later moved back to Minnesota where Bill attended J.H and H.S. He loved fishing, woodworking and working with his hands. His annual highlight was a 4th of July fireworks display which he put on for family, friends, and neighbors. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Miriam Collins, a brother Charles, and a granddaughter Brayley. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Janna Collins; children, Carrie Ann Collins and Billy(Haley) Collins; four grandsons; brothers and sisters, Thea(Russ) Troolin, Marilyn(Rev. Chuck Kackley, John(Janae) Collins, Walter(Tammy) Collins, June(Larry) Juday and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Service: 1:00pm Tuesday, August 27th at North Point Church, 933 Ranch Road, Fort Worth, 76131 with Rev. Chuck Kackley officiating. Following the service, a celebration of life will immediately follow at the church. Arrangements were entrusted in the care of Lasting Impressions Funerals of North Richland Hills. Hisae Shimamoto Kanan, age 87, transitioned peacefully Sunday, August 11, 2019. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, October 26th from 11am to 12 noon with lunch directly following at Sheffield Family Life center, 5700 Winner Road, Independence, MO 64127. Hisae was born April 25, 1932 in Nagasaki, Japan to Jiun Shimamoto and Sugi Tsutsumi Shimamoto. She began work in retail where she found a profound talent in becoming a wonderful seamstress, which became one of her passions. In 1954 she met the love of her life, Maurice Earl Kanan, a Navy Officer, they married and a year later she moved to the United States in 1957, where she focused her life raising her five children. She was a dedicated loving mother and adored spending time with her grandbabies. She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Sandra Grace Kanan; grandson, Kristopher Kanan and her parents. Hisae is survived by her loving children, William ‘Bill’ Kanan, Kathleen ‘Ann’ Estrada, Frank Kanan and Tammy Turner and husband, Larry; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Tamio Tsutsumi and Hiromichi Shimamoto; sister, Setsuko Shimamoto Yanai; three nephews and five nieces. Suzanne Meta Helen Klein Basham, 61, passed away August 2, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 27, 1958 to George H. Klein and Jaqueline Elaine Nee Hamilton in Mt. Clemens, MI. Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Rodney Basham; children, Alex Stroud, Jeff Stroud and Jackie Foote; step-children, Steven and Stephanie; 3 brothers and 13 grandchildren. |
