Alton Wesley Finney, age, 92, went home to be with the Lord June 10, 2020. He was born to Belton and Dovie Finney on January 22, 1928 in the Panhandle of Texas. He married La Donna in March of 1997 and served in the US Navy from 1945-1946. He attended Barber College in 1946 in Fort Worth Tx.  Alton served as a Barber and Hairstylist in Fort Worth for 73 years. Many of his long time clients were so loyal to him that when he was recuperating from major surgery they would hold off getting haircuts for many weeks waiting for him to return to work. Alton has customers that were third generation.  Alton loved to ride their horses with his children, family, friends and members of the CowTown Posse in parades, rodeo events, family horse events and trail rides.
Alton and La Donna enjoyed trips to California, The Panhandle, Colorado, Granbury and other places visiting family.  His granddaughter Katie has these words to say "Grandpa was the best!"  Alton's laugh was infectious, his commitment to a healthy life was inspiring and he loved to share that  information and was a great story teller. He will be missed by his family, friends and clients.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, James (Jimmy); 6 brothers, O'dell William, James Albert, Clarence Weldon (Tex), Billy Jack (BJ), Clinton Eugene (Gene) and Oliver Ray (Red).
Survivors include his wife, La Donna; daughter, Donna Brinkley; brothers, Richard and wife, Nell; niece, LaQuita, Regina and nephew Belton; several grandnieces and grandnephews; step children, Kim Penney, Tracy McCormick and husband, John McCormick, Greg Lindamood and Alan Nail; 5 grand children and their spouses and 8 great grandchildren.
