PictureRaymond Drake
Raymond Drake, age 71, was born in June 1947 and passed away in July 2018 surrounded by family.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Fay and Gladys Drake.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Drake; son, Robert Drake and wife, Katie; daughter, Sara Drake-Stepp and husband, Jeremy; grandchildren, Austen, Ashlyn, Isla, and Emelia; great grandchild, A J; sister, Marie Stephens and husband Eric, and brother.

Ray worked for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics for over 30 years and before worked for Beech Aircraft in Salina KS. He was known for his quiet demeanor, being a hard worker, his quick wit, and love for all things sci-fi. He loved the mountains, taking road trips with his family, and would want everyone who knew him to remember the happy times. He was happiest spending time with family and traveling with his wife of 50 years. Together they traveled most of the U.S. and parts of Canada. He was most at home on Colorado off-road trails. He also enjoyed fishing, photography, whittling, and creating yard art for his home. Ray was the best husband and father we could have asked for.

His ashes will be scattered, by his wife and children, in his favorite spot in the San Juan mountains.  He will be sorely missed.
A special thanks to Community Hospice of Texas and to Dr. Robert Collins who allowed us to enjoy two extra years with Ray.
