Wanda Kay Smith, 69, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away December 27, 2022. Wanda was born June 19, 1953, in Anchorage, Alaska to Harlin and Blanche Willis. She married Roger Smith in 1976. Wanda loved Roger and her daughter Angie so much. She never wanted material things, just her family and friends around her. She was one of the most selfless people you’ll ever meet. Wanda did for others, her whole life from fostering babies they had no placements for, to inviting foreign exchange students to their home to raising her sister. She loved her family so much. She also loved her church family. She was always there for everyone and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Angela Johnston; her two grandchildren, Max, and Breonna Johnston; sister, Mary Lou Horne and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Smith, her dad and mom, Harlin and Blanche Willis and sister, Brenda Hollon. Wanda will live in our hearts forever.

Wanda was a friend I will never forget. She sang played guitar and rode horses. She was a peaceful loyal soul I learned from. She was beautiful with her soft blue eyes and blond hair. She taught me the song Rocky Top and I know she is still singing and free a top and above this world. See you later Wanda. Love to all your family.
