Wanda Annette Basye

Wanda Annette Basye (65), affectionately known as Annette, of Itasca, Texas, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 19th, 2020.
 Annette graduated from Itasca High School in 1973 and continued her education at Hill Junior College, where she attended cosmetology school. She then went on to attend Navarro College’s dispatch program. Following that, she was employed by the Hill County Sheriff’s Office, as both a dispatcher, and a detention officer. In her later years, she worked at WalMart in Hillsboro, Texas, and eventually retired.
 Annette had an infectious laugh.  She was loving, spontaneous, and sassy.  She loved listening to the Blues.  She was most loved for her honesty.  She was a strong and resilient woman, who loved her family dearly.  Her faith and love for God was so important to her. She knew she was always under His wing.  She was a proud Mother and Nana.  She was truly the life of the party.
 She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Warren Allen; sisters, Juanita Matthews and Loria (Baba) Edmondson-Smith. She is survived by her brother, Thomas (Bubba) Allen; 3 daughters, Tisha Willis, Rachelle Willis, and Crystal WIllis.  Her nieces and nephews, Beth Allen, Scotty Edmondson, Undra Smith and Devin Smith, and Marcus Allen. Her grandchildren, Sha’Shana Fennell, Danielle and Dezireah Wilson, N’Dea and Derrick Hoyle, as well as a great grandchild Skyler Malone.  Annette was also loved by numerous extended family members and dear friends.  She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
 It was Annette’s request that her services remain private.
 She put up a good fight though she had cancer.  She fought to the very end.
 She will be deeply missed; May she rest well in eternal peace.
