Toyoko (Terri) Pier

Toyoko (Terri) Pier, 84, of Fort Worth, passed away with family by her side at the Community Hospice of Texas, Fort Worth,  on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. She was born on the 1st day of February 1933 in Toyama, Japan to the late Densaku  and Fuji Murayama.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Alson Broas Pier, U.S. Army, retired.

She is survived by two sons, Richard M. Pier and wife Natalie, Stanley A. Pier and wife Dee Anna. She has six grandchildren, Karissa Hernandez and husband Courtney, Kara Falto and partner Taylor,​

Kelli Falto and partner Will, Richard J. Pier, Alison Jennings and husband Josh, and  Wesley Pier. Terri had seven great-grandchildren, Tommy (10), Brody (6), Adalynn (4), Shane (12), Adrian (11), Riley (12) and Leah (9).

​She was considered a Japanese War Time Bride in America, but she had no regrets. Some of the things Terri enjoyed was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved walking, reading and making all sorts of different crafts.

Terri will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She would not want us to cry when we think of her but to remember all the happy times we had with her.
