Teresa "Kathy" Tobias

Teresa Kathleen “Kathy” Tobias, age 61, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2020 at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Memorial Service: 5:45 pm Thursday, October 22, 2020 at One Faith Church, 1200 Roberts Cutt Off Rd., River Oaks, Tx 76114.

Kathy was born in Fort Worth and lived most of her life there. At a very young age, Kathy learned to maintain the household and care for her siblings, as her mother worked full-time. Once she was of age, she entered the workforce and worked most of her life in communications. Kathy was strong and kind-hearted. She was always full of love, kindness, generosity, and laughter. She had many stories to tell and lessons to teach. She found the most joy in helping others, and in being a grandmother.
​Kathy was survived by her mother, Teresa C. Vela; her only son, Richard Tobias; her grandson, Samuel Elijah Tobias; her siblings, Isabel Brickey, Antonio Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, Steve Ramirez, Madeline M. Vela, Mary Jane Lopez, Adam Valdez Jr., and Ruby Ann Valdez. She is preceded in death by her siblings Samuel Ramirez, Jesse Leonard Ramirez, and Paul Martinez.
