Sharon Rene Wood Oliver went home to her Lord February 1, 2020, after fiercely battling a long illness. Sharon was born October 15, 1962 in Wichita, KS. She was the fifth child of seven, born to Donald Gene Wood (Wichita, KS) and Bonnie Elizabeth Frisch Wood (Taylor, TX). Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Agnes Frisch, George and Margaret Wood; parents, Donald and Bonnie Wood; sisters, Annalisa Wood Pilney  and Jody Johnson.
She is survived by siblings, Michael Wood (Gretchen) of Decatur, TX, Paul Wood (Lorraine) of Fort Worth, TX, Patricia Wood Flowers of Mabank, TX, Mary Wood Neary (Robert) of Rhome, TX and David Wood of Dallas, TX; children, Stephen Wood (Amy) of Fort Worth, TX, Bonnie Patterson (James) of Reno, NV, Brian Austin of Reno, NV, Lea Epley (Michael) of Fort Worth, TX and Frankee Jo Johnson (Jaz Thompson) of Eddy, TX; grandchildren, Steven Stone, James Wood, Drew Logan, Lara Wood, Kayla Patterson, Ashlee Patterson, Jesse Patterson, Nikoli Thor Austin, Josiah Donald Austin and Lacy Combest ...as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who she considered extended family.
Sweet sister, daughter, mother, granddaughter, cousin, aunt, and friend. We love you. We miss you. When we stop and remember that you're not here in the world with us, a tear forms...a throat tightens, but more than that, a joy swells within us, because, we know that you're out of pain and both filled with and surrounded by, the overwhelming joy and complete love found in God's presence. You were so brave these last few years....but then you always were. You walked forward through life, taking the path as it came to you. Accepting and working through difficulties and enjoying the good times to the fullest. We each treasure the private memories that we have of you, as well as those occasions when we all gathered as family. You loved well! You loved everyone. Accepted anyone. Because it was your nature...and without planning, agenda, or aforethought, you were the hands and feet of Jesus more than most. Even during your time in hospice care, you cared for those around you with love and selfless generosity. We will all join you soon Sharon....but not before you get Mom to your self for a while ❤ XOXO Bon voyage... ....If you would like to honor the memory of Sharon, remember to take the time to see your loved ones, family, and friends. Don't wait until it's too late to enjoy life with those that you love.
