Sharon Kay Wilson

 ​​​It is with great sadness; the family of Sharon Kay Wilson announces her passing on December 29, 2017 at the age of 73.
 
​A memorial service will take place on Friday, January 5th, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Watauga, 6124 Plum St, Watauga, 76148.

Sharon was born September 27, 1944, she was a graduate of Trimble Tech High School, Class of 1962. On June 22nd 1962, Sharon married the love of her life, Murrell Thomas “Tommy” Wilson Sr. She and Tommy were the owners of Boulevard Jewelers, Diamond Oaks Florist and Ace Exterminators.​ ​She was Eastern Star Past Matron of South Hills Chapter and retired from Plaza Medical Center, where she worked in insurance verification for many years. She loved baking and making divinity, playing bingo and board games, watching Live PD and spending time with her family.

Sharon is preceded in death by husband, Tommy Wilson; mother, Mina Russell and father, George Russell.
She is survived by her loving children, Sherry Edwards (Clint), Sabra Perez (Evan) and Murrell “TJ” Wilson Jr; grandchildren, Stephanie Norrell, Shelly Norrell, Shayna Norrell, Emerson Edwards, Murrell “Tre” Wilson III, Andrew Perez and Mason Wilson; great grandchildren, Madysen, Analise, Thomas, Aubrey, Junior, Michael, Marlee and Molly; brother, Gary Russell (Jeannie); cousins, Linda Haley and Mike Haley and nieces, nephews and a host of many friends.
