PictureSally Ann Kaspar
Sally Ann Kaspar of Fort Worth was welcomed home by her blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 4th, 2024.  As she was passing, she described heaven, the colors, the sounds, and Jesus by her side.  She had a glow on her face that was indescribable, and a smile no one could forget.

She was born in Los Angeles, CA. to Roberta Thomas on September 15, 1951, her family was her everything.  She had many names, Mom, Grandma Sally, and Gigi.  Her children, Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, and Great-great grands made five generations for her to love.  The rivers of blessings, that flow from a mother’s heart to her children, broaden and deepen with time creating an ocean of influence, and love.  Her personality and values were so strongly influenced by her grandmother, that her desire to pass those qualities on to the following generations were always present in her life.  She loved to “shop till you drop”. Antiques were her passion, walking through the antique malls, asking if we knew what something was, or so excited to tell us about a piece.  She was a proper, sophisticated lady who enjoyed the theater, arts, and all things of beauty.  Good food was more than just eating, it was an experience, an event, the place settings, flowers, linens, lighting, the texture of the food, the ambience, the entire experience.  Heaven help them if the table had been set incorrectly, she would tell them all about it, that is just who she was.  She loved interior design, she could walk into a room, look around, move some pieces, and it became a new creation.  Behind the scenes is where she flourished.  She loved working in the theater helping design sets and costumes, planning, and creating Daddy Daughter dances, and lots of luncheons and other special events.  She was always willing to help someone plan and coordinate all types of events, and especially loved weddings.  Oh, did she love her hats, lots, and lots of hats. So elegant in the black and white movie era from the forties. As a member of the “Red Hat Society”, she could always add to her collection.  She was a member of the “Thimble Club” helping to fundraise, designing parties, and having Tea’s with her friends.  She was an amazing photographer, great with people and children, and always enjoyed capturing that perfect lighting and pose.  You always knew when she walked into a room, her energy, her smile, the essence she gave off.  She could talk to anyone with grace and poise, whether it be King or pauper.  She could make you feel like you were the most important person in the room.  Now this is not to say she was perfect by any means, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO--- stubborn to a fault, but well-grounded in most things.  Once she made up her mind there was no changing it.

She was preceded in death by; Mother, Roberta Thomas and Grandmother, Florence Harmon Earhart.

Sally leaves behind a loving family; Children, Mark and wife, Jo Cato, Tammy Portwood and husband, Boo Nilsson; Grandchildren, Kodi Crutcher and husband, Josh Rodriguez, Bray and wife, Katrina Cato; Eight Great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  Along with a host of other family and friends.

She leaves us with hearts full of memories that will always remain, to help fill the voids created by her passing but enable us to continue on our life’s journeys… as her comes to an end. We will forever miss her!

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date:
In Lieu of flowers we would respectfully ask you to donate to Alzheimer’s Association of Fort Worth in her name.
