Peggy Lanell Rogers, age 81, went home to be with the Lord in a place of peace on Friday, December 22, 2017, in Granbury, TX surrounded by her family.

Peggy was born February 16, 1936 in Post, TX to Millard and Margaret Gray. She married her soul mate and love of her life, Carter Rogers on June 5, 1969 in Fort Worth, TX. They spent their entire 48 years of marriage in Tarrant County but called Euless “Home”, where they spent the last 23 years. Being a people person, Peggy never met a stranger, always looked for the good in people and almost always found it.

She was an animal lover and had many dogs, birds and fish over the years. But most of all, Peggy had a very infectious smile, laugh and personality and loved her family and friends with conviction. She loved to bake, cook, play card games, dominoes and spend time with her family. Her favorite desserts to make were peach cobbler and fried apricot pies which were often requested by family and friends. Throughout her life, some of her favorite hobbies were crocheting, bowling, fishing and playing Bingo.

Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Carter Rogers; parents, Millard and Margaret Gray; sister, Claudine Betts; brothers, Hub Gray, Jim Gray, Red Gray and Bill Gray.

She is survived by children, Peggy Patterson and husband, Harvey, Mark Croy, Stacy Rogers and wife, Christi, and Bret Rickerson; grandchildren, Donnie Heath, Brice Rogers, Mark Croy Jr., Hayden Rogers; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brother, Artie Gray and wife Jackie, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 20th at 2:00PM at South Euless Baptist Church, 1000 Simmons Dr, Euless, TX, to commemorate Peggy & Carter’s life together.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donations to:

What a wonderful tribute to a beautiful lady. We should all be so lucky as to have someone like Peggy in our lives. God bless the Stacy family.
