Minta Jeanette Simmans passed away February 27, 2024, at 9pm. She left this earth peacefully surrounded the whole day with the love of her family. She was born in Fort Worth, TX to Everette J Davis and Jimmie Gertrude Davis on February 12. 1933. Minta was known for her unwavering candor and zest for life. Throughout her journey Minta leaves behind her cherished children Kitty Martell, Donald Bridschge, Cynthia Mayfield, Robert Raymond Bridschge along with 10 grandchildren (Candice, Michele,Andrea, Amanda, Melissa, Marie, Jason, Meredith, Patrick and Barbara) 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Who all brought her delight. Minta's life was marked by diverse experiences. She completed her education at San Marcos where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. While in college, Minta was a Max Factor model. Looking at any pictures you can see why, as she was an exceptional beauty. Upon graduation she worked at American Airlines answering calls which led her to Harbison Fisher where she worked her way up to executive assistant and met the love of her life and beloved husband of over 30 years Roy A Simmans. After 35 years of diligent service, she retired from Harbison Fisher and brought her expertise to the Rachel Sherron Law Firm. Retirement didn't slow Minta down; she traveled the country in her beloved RV, exploring new horizons and embracing the beauty of nature. Her summers in Hawaii with college roommate Jan were filled with laughter and cherished memories. An avid animal lover, Minta's heart belonged to her furry companions, transitioning from dogs to cats over the years. Her outspoken nature was matched only by her wisdom, as she believed that true intelligence lies in the ability to articulate without resorting to profanity. Minta enjoyed continuing to learn new things at Tarrant college such as Spanish, photography, Chinese medicine, acupressure and even belly dancing... She also enjoyed classical music, operas, museums reading and tai chi in her spare time. As we bid adieu to Minta Simmans, let us remember her indomitable spirit, her love for family, and her unwavering principles. Though she may have left this world, her memory will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Graveside Service: 2:00pm Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
