Jeremy Self was born on August 9th, 1983, in Fort Worth Texas. He went home to be with the Lord on January 7th, 2022, at the age of 38. He is survived by his loving wife, Armida and their 5 daughters, Makayla, Sarah, Jera, Mika, and Landa; mother, Lola Self; sister, Sabrina Hawk and her husband, Robert; brother, Joshua (Bubba) Self and his wife, Tammie; uncle, Johnny Smith and his wife, Rhonda; niece, Kaylee; nephew, Jason and countless friends and extended family. Jeremy is preceded in death by his grandparents, MawMaw and PawPaw, uncle, Robert and aunt, Reba. He worked for Pride Drywall as a commercial framer / foreman for many years. He oversaw the rebuild of the McDonalds in Springtown. He also worked in the oilfield. He loved working in the yard, going camping, and riding his go-kart. Anything he could do with the girls made him happy, he was a family man all the way. Jeremy has always been a character with a unique sense of humor. His family would say he had a heart of gold, he was very thoughtful, opinionated and sometimes twice as stubborn!! We were actively looking for a home church when he was diagnosed with ALL in June of 2019. Jeremy fought long and hard for his life, after he received a bone marrow transplant January 7th, 2021. He believed in the Lord and the Son saving all of us from our sins and being close to God was important to him. He led his family to the word of God. Services for Jeremy will take place on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 1:00pm at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, 220 W Reno Rd., Azle 76020 with a visitation beginning at 11:00am prior to service at church followed by the interment at Azleland Cemetery with Pastor, Shane Scott officiating.

I am so sorry for the loss of Sweet Jeremy. I loved him very much! His great big personality, great big smile and great big heart and great big hugs will be dearly missed. Jeremy always made me feel good. He was always so glad to see me no matter if it had been 6 months or 6 hours since our last visit. Rest in Peace Jeremy. Give Wade a big hug for me. Until we meet again. ❤️
