Jane W. Layfield

​Jane W Layfield, 91, went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2022. She was born in Findlay, Ohio to Walter and Ruth Wellman. In addition to being fiercely about family, Jane was also known as a beautiful artist specializing in watercolors. Many of her friends and family are blessed to have one of her paintings in their homes. Jane also loved to watch football and every Saturday and Sunday she and her son Michael would talk about the games for the day, often texting back and forth during the games. Jane had a special bond with her daughter, Jackie, who lovingly was her primary caretaker. She had a special love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The last several years of her life Jane lived at Christian Care Communities. The staff was professional, kind, and we are so grateful for the care they gave her in her final years of life. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack Layfield and her daughter, Jacqueline Vernon. She is survived by her son, Michael Layfield, and his wife, Tricia Layfield. She was blessed with six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Jane was a member of Castleberry Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
