He graduated from Central Catholic High School in San Antonio in 1949 where he was a Lieutenant Colonel of the ROTC. He was an excellent marksman earning many awards during his high school years, as well as using that skill to feed his family for many years. Ernest held many positions from carpentry to salesman of power tools to finally owning his own insurance agency until he retired in 1992. Dad and Mom traveled the country in their motor home and were blessed to visit every state before settling in Waelder, Texas. I feel very privileged to have know Ernest and Hope both. He was such a kind and gentle man. Always positive and encouraging. He always had a good attitude towards life even in the hard times. This is one of them. He would want us to carry his message for him I think. Be of service when you can, be kind to others in all things, be positive and uplift those around you. Adios mi amigo, Ernesto.
