I was shocked to hear of Doug's departure , I am cliff Ellis and hadn't seen him in about 50 years. I was a Nam Vet and was waiting to hear my name called at the Dallas v.a . I heard this friendly guy talking and realized I recognized that voice. I asked him his name and he told me, I was shocked and I told him I was Perry Ellis's son. Right off the bat he knew who I was and he got up and came over and we hugged each other, and we both kinda teared up. Daddy and Doug went fishing all the time and worked together as plumbers. We lived on choctaw st in grand prairie and so did Doug, Alma and I think 2 kids. I was thinking about him and looked up his name in Irving and his obit showed up. Doug as I knew, him was a joy to be around . I was hoping to get a chance to tell a bunch of stories about my dad.
