It has been my pleasure to know Don and to get to ride quite a few miles with him for the last 25 years. He was truly the kind of friend everyone wishes they had and will be greatly missed. At least he suffers no more and he's back with Jean and if there are motorcycles in Heaven, I'm sure he's already planning a ride with his old sidekick JB. Rest In Peace.

Don was a great friend and motorcycle companion. We rode many miles together escorting airplane moves around Texas, escorting bicycle races for 15 years, many toy runs and lots of group rides with friends. Don will be missed by many friends and motorcycle companions. Don is not suffering anymore and is in Heaven with his lovely wife Jean. R.I.P. Don.

I was lucky enough to meet Don while working at night at North Lake College, as the dispatcher in the police dept. My favorite nights to work were when Don was on duty. I was able to introduce my JB to Don one night, over the phone. I told JB I wanted him to talk to someone and said “hold on Honey”, Don took the phone and said “hello honey” and once JB got over the shock of Don calling him “honey” a better friendship never was. JB and Don were inseparable and I don’t know how many miles they logged together on their motorcycles, but as friends endless. I miss Don and will forever be grateful he was in our lives!

We both so enjoyed several Thanksgiving day with the family. Mike and Donnie were riding buddies, usually down to Brownwood, to practice shooting, and a day of talking and laughter. The meal, and sharing with Donnie and Jean…was always warm and be loving. Good memories, and sending our love and prayers, to all of you. Love, Mike and Margarett
