![]() Carter Arthur Rogers, age 72, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 1, 2017. Carter was born March 5, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Art and Louise Rogers. In 1962 he enlisted and served four years with the U.S. Coast Guard. On June 5, 1969 he married the love of his life in Fort Worth, TX where he spent the rest of his life and raised his family. He was a very loving husband, Father and Grandfather and loved being called “Granddad” and “Papa” by his grandkids. He never met a stranger, loved larger than life and would do anything to make someone smile or laugh. Throughout his life his favorite hobbies were fishing, bowling and playing card games, but most of all he loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, telling jokes and spending time with his family. Carter was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kris Klein. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Peggy Lanell Rogers; children, Stacy Rogers and wife, Christi, Peggy Patterson and husband, Harvey, Mark Croy, Debby Bardell and Gary Rogers; grandchildren, Donnie Heath, Brice Rogers, Mark Croy Jr., Hayden Rogers, Jenna and Kayla Bardell; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Pete and Ed Rogers; sister, Dee Bechtle and many loving family and friends. Peggy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Carter was a very sweet fellow and I enjoyed living above you both during our stay in Euless. May God comfort you in this time and carry Carter's spirit to peace. With all of our love, Alecia and Jayde
