Arthur Leroy Wharton

Arthur Leroy Wharton, age 62, passed away peacefully Friday, February 11, 2022. He was born July 27, 1959, to the parentage of George Mandel Wharton and Ruby Lee Wharton in Anaheim California. He came to Texas at the age of five attended school in Covington and Itasca. He attended UTA in Arlington and completed his doctrine at USC in California. He moved back to Itasca in 2012. He was a beekeeper, an avid poker player, enjoyed golfing, watching football, baseball and he was a Dallas Cowboy fan, Texas Ranger fan and a Dodgers fan. He enjoyed watching hockey especially the Stars and he loved to travel and enjoyed fishing. Arthur really enjoyed life and spending time with his family, he enjoyed having get togethers for the holidays and especially during the Super Bowl, he had a laugh that lit up the room. Arthur was a very humble guy that made everyone feel welcome and he will be dearly missed.
​He was preceded in death by his parents, Mendal and Ruby Wharton. He leaves behind his brother, Donald Wharton of Waco, sisters, Janet Fennell of Itasca and Doris Rankin of San Antonio and a host of nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Patrick.

Graveside Service will take place Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2:00 pm. in Itasca Cemetery, Itasca Texas.
