Edwin Junior Baker Edwin Junior Baker, age 95, went home to be with the Lord and his wife, Shirley, on September 19, 2025. He was the third of 11 children born October 22, 1929, in Akron, Ohio to John and Ruth Baker. Edwin and his family lived in Pomeroy, Ohio till he was 12 years old and then his family moved to Columbus, Ohio. He joined the US Navy at the age of 17 and served five years during the Korean War. Upon returning home, he met the love of his life, Shirley Smith, and married her for almost 70 years. Together they had four children, Trea, John, Tracy and Bradley. His family grew to nine grandchildren in 13 great grandchildren. He enjoyed a career with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 28 years. Edwin retired and moved with Shirley to Texas, where they lived the rest of their lives. He loved his family, music, woodworking, and traveling. He has survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and two sisters, Janet Hagerman and Donna Sabo. He will be laid to rest in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery along with his wife Shirley. Ed holds a special place in all his family’s hearts and will be deeply missed every day.

Robert Jessie Salazar Robert Jessie Salazar, 55, a cherished husband, devoted father, and proud new grandfather, was also a beloved brother and friend, as well as an adoptive father to countless individuals of all ages and a multitude of rescue animals. He passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family and friends. Born in the vibrant city of Dallas, TX, on January 20, 1970, he was the cherished son of his late parents, Samuel Ray Salazar Sr. and Margarita Reyna Salazar. September 11th is a date imprinted in our memories, a day when the world seemed to come to a standstill. Robert epitomized kindness and generosity, with a heart that overflowed with love and a radiant spirit that brought laughter to those around him. His unwavering devotion to his family shone like a guiding star, illuminating their lives with warmth and joy. Robert had a passion for grilling, often gathering his loved ones around a smoky barbecue, regardless of the weather, because for him, it was not just about the food but the joy of shared moments and cherished conversations. He was always eager to lend a helping hand, providing support in any way he could, whether for family, friends, or the many animals that found their way into his heart. A masterful handyman, Robert possessed the uncanny ability to fix almost anything, earning him the affectionate title of "Robert of all trades." An original gamer at heart, he lived life to the fullest, never running out of lives but instead embarking on a new adventure as he respawns in eternal paradise, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Ray Salazar Sr. and Margarita Reyna Salazar; brothers, Gilbert Salazar and Samuel Ray Salazar Jr. Robert is Survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann; sons, Robert (Kaylind), Patrick and Javan; daughters, Taylor Thornton and Jasmine; grandson, Archer; his siblings, Sylvia Rico, Elizabeth, Mary, and Hector. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at Bethel Family Worship Center, 946 W Pipeline Rd., Hurst, Tx 76053 with Pastor, Eliud Jimenez officiating. Janet Louise Randolph Janet Louise Randolph, age 84, went home to be with our Lord Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was born November 14, 1940, in Fort Worth, Texas to Earl and Lucille Miller. Janet loved watching wrestling and Nascar racing. She spent a lot of time crocheting and loved her pets dearly. Janet is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Roderick; granddaughter, Krystal Bley and sister, Sharon Ray. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Leroy Randolph; son, David Henderson and wife, Mary; son, Larry Henderson and wife Mary; grandsons, Larry Henderson Jr, Sean Fisher and Brandon Bley; granddaughter, Amanda Ortiz; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Roger Ray and her loving fur baby, Daisy. Graveside Service will take place Friday, September 26, 2025 at 1:00pm at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers, Janet asked for donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her name. |
