Phillip Elvie Pickett, 71, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of love, faith, laughter, and cherished memories. He was the devoted husband and best friend of his beloved wife, Becky, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life.
 
Phil had a gentle spirit and a wide range of passions. He loved spending time creating beautiful woodworking projects, traveling, keeping up with current events, and loving on his fur babies.  
 
An accomplished Civil Engineer, Phil enjoyed a rewarding career that took him abroad, where he worked in Germany, Italy, Malta, Latvia, Lithuanian, and Qatar.  He treasured those experiences and the friendships he made around the world before retiring.
 
His Christian faith was a guiding force throughout his life, providing him with strength, purpose, and compassion for others.
 
Phil’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky; his brothers and sisters, Sharlene Pickett, Jonathan Pickett, Sharalyn Parker, David Pickett; his many nieces and nephews; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. He will also be remembered by many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and generosity.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00am on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Alliance Methodist Church, 7904 Park Vista Blvd., Fort Worth, Tx 76137.

Ila Elizabeth “Betty” Phillips, 86, passed away on June 15, 2026, and was born in Snyder, Texas on April 22, 1940. 

​She married Jay Phillips on October 6, 1990, and maintained a thriving business for many years as a hair stylist, with several customers continuing on with her for a few years after retirement, cutting and styling for them on her back patio in Ft. Worth, Texas.
 
She and her husband loved to travel and camp, their favorite area being in the South Padre Island area, where Jay could fish and Ma could read novels.  They made friends with other campers who camped near them there, for many years.  She attended Travis Avenue Baptist Church and served as a volunteer at the information desk for Harris Hospital for the last few years and up until a short time before her death on June 15, 2026.
 
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Phillips; parents, Sammy Lou and Earl Norman.
 
She is survived by her son, Jim Tolleson (Jama); daughter, Shanna Sinclair; stepdaughters, Alicia Phillips (Greg) and Angelia Phillips; grandchildren, Kristin Ashworth-Garret, Gus Tolleson, Cassie Tolleson, Kendra Sinclair and (Step) Ray Phillips; great-grandchildren, Blakely Ashworth, Bentley Ashworth, (Step) Kayla Newbern and Nate.
 
Graveside service will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 3:00pm at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Jay. 
 

Gregory Eugene Faurot, 66, was born on October 24, 1959, in Dodge City, Kansas, the same hospital that his mother, Myrth was born in. He passed away on June 11, 2026, from complications from a fall.

Greg loved being with family and friends. He loved hunting pheasants, quail, and dove in the fields outside of Dodge City, Kansas. He loved the ocean and going to his family’s lake house and fishing. He was in band and played the tuba at L.D. Bell High School, which he graduated from in 1979. He went onto TCJC and DeVry Institute where he graduated with honors. He performed in numerous musicals and sang in choir while in high school as well as in college. He loved singing Men’s Barbershop and was a member of the Texas Millionaires Barbershop Chorus, which produced several CDs and went to International Competitions. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Greg was proceeded in death by his father, Eugene Robert Faurot “Gene Bob”.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Stacia Morgan Faurot; mother, Myrth Heckel Faurot; brothers, Ron Faurot and wife, Michelle, Steve Faurot and wife, Tina; eight nieces and nephews; seven grand nieces and nephews and numerous cousins and friends.
