Joe S. Garcia Joe S. Garcia, 77, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 25,1948, in Fort Worth, Texas to Elissa and Benito Garcia Sr. Joe had the most beautiful heart, he was a funny and loving person who didn't have one mean bone in his body. He was also a wonderful caring brother and the best uncle anyone could ask for. He was known to most by “Hey Man”. He was a friendly person who always made friends everywhere he went. He was the type of person who tried to fix everything he could (electronics and bikes) but could never achieve it. In all, Joe (Hey Man) lived a beautiful life and will forever live in everyone's hearts and be missed immensely. Preceded by: Mother, Elissa Garcia; Father, Benito Garcia Sr.; Brothers, Raul Sanchez and Sammy Garcia; Sisters, Estefania Mendoza, Vera Mejia, Linda Sanchez and nieces, Dora Flores and Lisa Campbell. Survived by: Sisters, Felicia Flores and Perfecta Gutierrez; Brothers, Jacob Garcia, Gregory Garcia, Benito Garcia and Danny Garcia and a lot of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date and service information will be updated once scheduled.

Juanita Jean Barnhill Juanita Jean Barnhill, age 61, passed away on December 30, 2025. Born on May 11, 1964, in Hereford, Texas, Juanita lived a life marked by resilience, love, and joy. Juanita was a devoted and deeply loving mother who always put others before herself. She was known as the life of the party—full of laughter, warmth, and an infectious spirit that drew people in. She loved to dance, creating joyful moments wherever music was playing, and found peace and creativity working on her diamond art projects. A proud cancer survivor and sober for more than 25 years, Juanita’s strength and determination were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She faced life’s challenges with courage, grace, and an unwavering heart for others. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Misty John’s; her son, Shane Barnhill; her sisters, Roberta Hobbs (Bobby) and Leona Hellman; and her brothers, Roy Ponder, James Ponder, and Wayne Ponder Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Barnhill; her father, Wayne Ponder Sr.; and her mother, Wanda Ponder. Above all else, Juanita will be remembered for her kindness, her caring nature, and the way she made everyone feel seen and loved. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all those fortunate enough to have shared in her life. Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Sanger, 708 S. 5th Street, Sanger, Texas 76266 at 11:00am on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Juanita’s light, laughter, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. |
